The Ferrari that took John Surtees to the 1964 World Championship
The Ferrari 158 F1 holds a special place in Formula 1 history. In the 1964 season, this single-seater took John Surtees to the Formula 1 World Championship with Ferrari.
The season was marked by an intense title fight. Surtees won the German Grand Prix at Nürburgring and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza before reaching the final race of the championship. In Mexico he finished second and secured the title by just one point over Graham Hill.
That championship made Surtees a unique figure in sport: he was the first—and still the only—rider/driver to win world championships in both motorcycle racing and Formula 1. Ferrari also won the 1964 Constructors’ World Championship with the 158.
This decorative piece pays tribute to that Ferrari with a scale reproduction of John Surtees’ Ferrari 158 F1, paired with a personalised plaque and presented in a wooden box with dimmable LED lighting, designed to highlight every detail of the car.
The frame and box are handcrafted in samba wood and finished in red, inspired by Ferrari’s signature Rosso Corsa.
The dimmable LED lighting lets you adjust the brightness to the setting, enhancing the model’s shapes and details by day and by night.
Protected by glass, it ensures excellent preservation and an elegant presentation.
A piece designed for motorsport fans, collectors, and lovers of Formula 1 and Ferrari history—especially those who know the great drivers and single-seaters of the 1960s.
